The pool of candidates in the primary race for President is shrinking faster than Kristie Alley on the Jenny Craig diet.
Today, Senator John Edwards dropped out of the race, the latest twi
st in the Dem
ocratic primary. Now the debate is who will this help, Clinton or Obama. Edwards “suspended” his race to the White House without endorsing either of the candidates. Both candidates will likely pick up some of Edward’s campign positions in an attempt to sway his voting block to their camp. Im sure that we will suddenly see Hillary and Obama start talking more about poverty and “working class” issues, beginning in the CNN California debates tomorrow night.
On the GOP side, Rudi Giuliani, who put “all of his eggs in one basket” in the Florida primary, only to come in third, is likely to drop out of the race today. It is reported that he will endorse GOP frontrunner John McCain. I am feeling more and more confident that McCain will be the Republican nominee, and may have this race locked up sooner than the pundits are predicting. In fact, I think that McCain will see sweeping victories next Tuesday. I also feel that he will be the strongest candidate in the fall. Good job GOP voters!
